Commercial vehicles are soon going to run in separate lanes on the major roads of the city beautiful.
In a meeting held on 27th July, 2022 it was decided by the Road Safety Council to make yellow lines on the roads of Chandigarh for separating the commerical vehicles like bus, truck, auto and taxis.
According to the officials there are many benefits of these separate lanes like heavy and large sized vehicles will run on the left side of the road so that other small sized vehicles will safely move on the other side of the road preventing major mishaps on the road.
Road from Sector-16 Cricket Stadium Chowk to Punjab and Haryana High Court has already having yellow line for the commercial vehicles and it has proved to be beneficial for the road safety perspective, as per the officials.
