With not even a month's time left for the upcoming student council elections, the political powerplay is showing no signs of slowing down. University Students Organisation, a new non-political party came into existence.
Today, around 2 pm, a creation of a new front took place at the Coffee House of the Student Centre, this organization has been launched by Arsh Kamboj (Department of Punjabi) and Kulwinder Singh (Department of tourism and hotel management).
Taking an approach completely contrary to the prevailing trend of joining a political party, and using the ideology and links of a particular party, the leaders of the newly born organisation decided to take a completely different step as they formed a new party.
Like every other non-political party they went on to target the political parties and their policies, the leaders promised that if given a chance they will work for the welfare of the students, keeping aside their self interests.
There are accusations against the newly formed party of being nothing but a rebel group, who have deflected from their previous organisation, only time will tell whether the leaders of this party will stay true to their ethics or they will be forming an alliance with other political party for power-gain.
