UP Governor Anandiben makes visit to PU, inaugurates facilities at SAIF & interacts with students

Yesterday  the Hon’ble Governor of UP Anandiben Patel in her visit to the Panjab University inaugurated facilities at SAIF.

VC of the university Prof. Raj Kumar welcomed her and a special interaction session was arranged with the PU officials and fellows at the Vice Chancellor’s office.

Anandiben Patel in her inspiring address highlighted how the students of the Universities and Colleges should be harnessed at the lowest level of development that is Anganwadi System and Gram Panchayat. She further added that the University teachers should get out of their cocoons of isolation and contribute to social welfare proactively and the mindset of superiority and aloofness has got to be overthrown and a true empathy for the lowest common denomination should be developed apart from growth in terms of research and infrastructure. Education is meant to serve society.

Afterwards, the UP Governor inaugurated three high-end sophisticated analytical facilities at SAIF/CIL, PU.

Prof. Ganga Ram Chaudhary, Director, SAIF briefed all the dignitaries about the services and achievements of the centre which caters to almost all the states across the country.

Then she interacted with the innovators of Panjab University in the Deliverables gallery at SAIF where the inventors displayed their indigenous technologies on Food processing, Drones, 3D printers, smart devices including artificial hand etc.

The UP Governor also tasted the Amazin' Raisins and the refreshing drink 'Fizza' manufactured by Freako Fresh a startup of Chemical engineering students. She praised their drink a lot.
