Panjab University is full of excellence which is very well highlighted by the students every now and then. One such student Anshuman has brought glory to the institution by cracking GATE-2023 and securing AIR-1.
A final year student Mechanical Engineer of UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Anshuman has secured AIR-1 in Engineering Sciences and AIR-56 in Mechanical Engineering.
During the second year of his engineering when the first wave of covid hit , Anshuman started preparing for GATE. He said faculties at UIET and his family were very supportive of his decision, and always motivated and guided him during his preparation journey.
In his first attempt for GATE in 2022 he secured AIR -222 in Engineering Sciences (XE) and AIR-2091 in Mechanical Engineering (ME). He also shared his stress busters like watching movies, sci-fi web series, educational and motivational themes including some playtime with his dog ‘Pochi'
’During the course of preparation of GATE exam, a student must focus more on concepts, derivation, quality problems and should give weekly quizzes that are relevant for GATE and use virtual calculator from starting’’ he said.
Most likely he will be perusing M-tech in Aerospace Engineering at IISc Bangalore or Thermal Engineering at IIT Bombay, further to have a career in research in private sector.
