A surprising statement came forward on Monday mentioning USD 20 per month charge for verification badge on twitter. It further mentioned that people will be charged for the highly desired blue tick on twitter which bestows a verification to an individual.
On being questioned, IT minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar denied any authentication of the flying supposition regarding the same.
He stated that nothing has been officially announced by the microblogging platform itself which leaves the room open for doubt whether the statement is true.
Anything related to the issue will be commented on only after the official announcement, he added.
