On the government request, Canadian-Punjabi singer Jazzy B's Twitter account, along with three other accounts have been blocked in India. Jazzy B had been frequently tweeting in favour of the protesting farmers.
In effect, the account has been restricted in India only, while it will still be accessible from IP addresses outside the country.
According to sources, the request came from the Home Ministry and law enforcement agencies which was made to prevent escalation of law and order situation in view of the ongoing farmer agitation.
Meanwhile, Jazzy B took to Instagram where he confirmed this as he shared the screenshot of the 'account withheld' page and wrote that he will always stand for the rights of people.
