The voice behind "Dil ibadat"," Zara si dil mein","Tu hi mera shab" is no more, singer KK dies


A sad news surfaced over the world that Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK who mesmerized music lovers for over three decades is no more. He was just 53 years old.


KK was doing his concert at Kolkata. After the concert, reportedly fell down the stairs at the hotel where he was staying after his performance at Nazrul Manch on Tuesday.  At 10:30 p.m., he was pronounced dead at the Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI).


KK is gone but his voice will always be in our hearts. He gave major hits like " Kal yaad ayenge yeh pal" , "Tu jo mila '', " Tu hi mera shab hai", " Khuda jane" etc. Many more.


His death confirmation was posted by PM Narendra Modi on Social Media by stating "Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti,"
