The party changed their way a bit by starting a hunger strike today, in order to get the authorities to fulfil the sixteen demands they've put forward. The party members gathered at Student Centre and protested against university authorities.
Addressing the students witnessing the demonstration, the party urged them to join the strike for the sake of 'student interest'. In a joint statement University Unit President Amit Punia and Unit Secretary Shaurya Mehra stated that the party has been fighting for the fulfilment of these demands from a very long time but it has been time and again that the authorities have ignored students' interest and taken decisions completely against them.
Members of the party are now sitting on a hunger strike at Student Centre, just outside the DSW office.
