The Panjab University is all set to build a Student Centre (StuC) in its south campus located in the Sector-25, the proposal of which has been okayed by the varsity's budget estimate committee.
The budget estimate committee has given recommendation of initial funding of Rs 5 crores for the StuC which will get sanctioned after the approval of varsity's Board of Finance (BoF).
With the coming up of StuC, the students of South Campus will no longer have to visit Sector-14 for their small works.
This proposal came from the office of Dean of Students' Welfare during the last meet of varsity's budget estimate committee.
