The breaking news revolves everywhere in the morning that Raj Kumar, the vice chancellor of Panjab University, submitted his letter of resignation and that was further accepted by the Chancellor amid corruption charges. The PU environment then descended into chaos until everything was restored after the appointment of our First Woman Vice-Chancellor.
Many senators including Satya Pal Jain and Divesh Moudgill reached the VC office and congratulated Prof. Renu Vig for her appointment as Panjab University Chandigarh's Vice chancellor. They Wished her the best of luck on her new mission, which will be overseen by our Chancellor, H. E. Sh. Jagdeep Dhankar Ji, and reassured her of their unwavering support. It may be noted that Prof. Renu vig who is the DUI has been provided with additional responsibility of Vice chancellor till further appointment by the Vice President Jagdeep Nakkar.
Senator Satya Pal Jain was continuously raising the voice against VC Raj Kumar for corruption allegations against him.
On the other hand, PUTA President Supinder Kaur and Secretary Amarjeet Naura also thanked the Chancellor by writing the letter for saving this esteemed university and rescuing it from the vice chancellor, who is under investigation for serious corruption-related charges.
They mentioned that they are now confident to achieve academic excellence, once again, not only within the country but globally and will always be at service from her.
PUTA were also raising voices continuously against the corrupt working of the Vice Chancellor.
