On Thursday afternoon, a car parked near the Botany Department of Punjab University was broken into. The windows were smashed and a wallet and ATM card were stolen. The students gathered near the place of the incident informed that no police or security reached on spot.
Sources say that there was also an attempt of a transaction from the card. However, it failed.
It's really unfortunate that a car on the campus premises isn't safe, especially in the daytime. Amidst all the recent news about robberies and carelessness on the campus, once again concerns about the university's questionable security have come into the picture.
Just a few weeks earlier there was a robbery in GH-11. In the past, some other cases of broken glass and theft from cars have been reported.
Students have complained about this to the security of PU and demanded justice. They also announced a protest if no action is taken.
PU Pulse also urges PU authorities to take strict action and it's high time that students' and other peoples' safety is taken into consideration along with these misshapennigs.
Exclusive pics of the incident only on PU Pulse.
