President's maiden visit to Chd; witnesses the spectacular Air Show & attends number of events

President Droupadi Murmu is on a 2 day visit of Chandigarh on 8th and 9th October. She attended a number of events on this visit .

On Saturday, on the occasion of Indian Air Force Day she graced the 90th anniversary of Indian Air Force at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh. She was left impressed by the air show that was witnessed by a large audience.

In the evening, she also attended the Civic Reception hosted at Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh by Punjab Governor and UT Administrator. She spoke about women empowerment in different fields and motivated the administration to achieve the 1st rank in Swachh Surevekshan next year.

The inaugural of Effulent Treatment Plant at GMCH, Sector 32 was also attended by her today. Besides this, the recently constructed building of Chandigarh secretariat, will be inaugurated by her.

Along with this, she will also attend the 52nd convocation and closing ceremony of Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh today.
