Panjab University will continue to conduct its own entrance exams

Panjab University will continue to conduct its own entrance exams and CUET will not be considered a criteria for admission

PU was in talks since 2022 for participation in Central University Entrance Test (CUET) under the UGC guidelines but as the schedule was released, PU has decided to conduct entrance exams and admission according to their own schedule. As the CBSE exams are set to end on 28th March, PU's entrance exams are to be organized after that. The Controller Of Examination had sent the schedule to VC Prof. Renu Vig which was later approved.

The PU-CET UG tests will begin on 16th April. B.A. - B.Com L.L.B five year program's exam is set to be conducted on 30th April and University Entrance of Hotel and Tourism Management on 2nd June. These dates will be finally announced and uploaded on PU's official website soon.

The University will be completing all its entrance exams by June to fill the seats for the courses by the planned schedule.
