"A sheet of paper can never define my future" Thomas Edison once said, but this seems contrary today, after witnessing the scenario of education system these days, and now it has become ‘Only a sheet of paper can decide my future, no matter how much practical as well as theoretical knowledge I have.’
I took admission in Engineering in one of the "India's most reputed University i.e Panjab University" in 2017, thinking to reach great heights when I will be done with my degree.
But destiny played with me and half of my college life was ruined under the umbrella term "COVID-19". But is this the only " COVID-19" who ruined my career?
It is a fact that if Plan A does not work, get ready with Plan B or C but I think my college never had that. They never thought about my learning, practicals, Internships as well as placements. How can an online education system be better when all they cared about was my fee and my exams.
I accepted this, started preparing. But now I heard that they are preparing for the betterment of online exams. It is good but it can be better but it would have been best if they put the same amount of thought into my placements and my career.
It is good, to hold exams under surveillance or anything. Maybe I will score less but if this can make my future bright or the way I decided, Go ahead PU!!
My family is suffering financially, they fought with COVID-19, but still, I paid the whole fee. My friend lost his parents. He also paid the full fee. But no, only exams are the future of the youth of my country. Go ahead PU!! Go Ahead!!
