Himachal's Atal tunnel being one of the best tourist's destination, Over 19000 vehicles crossed the tunnel between 8am of December 25 and December 26, for new year says Lahaul and Spiti police.
They mentioned approximately 10,689 vehicles entered Lahaul Valley and approximately 8,694 vehicles exited through Atal tunnel.
Also a huge amount of tourists visited manali this Christmas and likely to increase for the new year, Manali town has been divided into eight zones and police will be present on every possible region to maintain the decoram of the place
Whereas Tourists are advised to leave for safe places as snowfall has been started at the South of the Atal Tunnel
SP Manav Verma mentioned that Manali-Leh national highway (NH-003) was open till Darcha. Shinkula Pass road is open, but only for four-wheel drive vehicles from 11am to 4pm while Pangi-Killar state highway is closed due to a landslide near Kadhu nullah.
