With 15, 754 new cases, Friday witnessed a record high of daily active cases, closing in on an average of 25% per day. 487 more cases have been registered within 24 hours, making a grand total of 101, 830 cases for India.
According to the data, 4,54,491 tests have been conducted in last 24 hours, showing a daily positivity rate of 3.47%, and a weekly positivity rate of 3.90%
As reported by the health ministry, total death toll has reached 527, 253 with 47 more deaths being registered after clubbing fresh data from Kerala, Goa and Punjab, with 8 deaths from Delhi, 6 from Maharashtra, 4 from Karnataka; 3 each from West Bengal, Rajasthan; 2 each from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana; 1 each from Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim, taking the case wise fatality rate to 1.19%.
