India reaches 5th spot, leaving behind UK, in the list of world's largest economies
India has surpassed UK in terms of its GDP to become the 5th largest economy of the world.
UK's decline from the top spot is on the backdrop of unwelcomed rising of the new prime minister, the whole calculation is based in US dollars & Indian extended it's lead in the 1st Quarter according to GDP.
Conservative party members are to choose the successor of Boris Johnson, where foreign secretary Liz Truss is thought to win against Rishi Sunak (former chancellor of the Exchequer).
Winning candidate will be taking over a nation being face to face with the fastest inflation of 4 decades along with a rising risk of recession, the likes of which, according to the bank of England says might last well upto 2024. On the other hand Indian economy is supposedly forecasted to grow more than 7% by the end of this year.
