Increase number of seats in girls hostel for evening department, Student Front sat on hunger strike

Yesterday Gurpreet Singh, member of Student Front under the leadership of Harkirat Singh, former president sat on hunger strike along with other students of Evening Students Department, to increase the number of seats allotted to girl students of the department.

The demands of the party were accepted by the authorities on September 21 as Dr.Simran Kaur, Warden, Girls Hostel 8 reached on the spot along with DSW and a total of 9 seats were allotted to the department under various categories. According to the party, hostels are one of the basic problems of the department and this was a small step towards its resolution.
