History scripted, Indian women's team won the ICC World Cup for the very first time
Today, the Indian Women Team won the U-19 Women's T-20 World Cup at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
Under the captaincy of Shafali, Women in Blue defeated England by 7 wickets. This is for the very first time that the Indian women's team has won the World Cup title at any level. Before this India had finished as runners up in the years 2005, 2017 , and 2020.
The England team was all out at a total of 68 runs in 17.1 overs . They lost 3 wickets in the Powerplay itself . The Indian team made 60 runs in 14 overs at the loss of 3 wickets.
