Amid several corruption cases going on in campus, PU Pulse unearths a new case!
This time, a Government Contractor Komal Kumar has placed blame on two engineers Anil Behl and Vishal Kapil for allegedly demanding a bribe from him for clearing his pending bill amounting to rupees around 11 lakhs approx. The bill was related to painting work carried out in the various departments of the University.
As per documents supplied by Komal Kumar, both the engineers are alleged to have been demanding around 5.5 Lakh as a bribe from him to clear his pending bill. Approaching PU authorities was also of no avail as they also exonerated the engineers from the accusations leveled by Komal Kumar, denying the release of his pending amount.
The contractor's running from pillar to post for the last two years to redress his grievances yet all these efforts yielded nothing, until only recently when PMO took cognizance of the matter through its grievance cell and forwarded the complaint to the Chief Secretary, Punjab for appropriate action.
Today, the matter is only confined to allegations contained in the statements and letters of Contractor Komal Kumar. Only time will tell the truth lying in the womb of the future.
