Amidst soaring tensions between the Indian and the Canadian Governments, another incident has taken place to escalate the friction. Gangster Sukha Dunekke of Bambiha group has been assassinated in Winnipeg of Canada. He was considered a prominent leader of Khalistan Tiger Force.
The responsibility of the murder has been taken by the Lawrence Bishnoi group over a social media post, which states that Sukha was killed to avenge the deaths of Gurlal Brar, Sandeep Nangal Ambian and Vicky Muddikhera. Vicky was a Youth Akali Dal leader as well as former student leader of Panjab University, brutally murdered in broad daylight a few years back.
Sukha Dunneke went to Canada in 2017, allegedly on a fake passport. He belonged to Dunneke Kalan village of Moga, Panjab.
Interestingly, prior to his escape to Canada due to pending criminal cases on him, he worked in the DC office. Sukha was considered right hand of Arsh Dalla. Arsh is known to be a close associate of Khalistani terrorist Hardip Nijjar.
These all have close links which Bambiha group, which was behind Sidhu Moosewala's murder.
Bishnoi on the other hand claims to be doing justice by punishing the terrorists. Earlier he had filed a petition in a highcourt to remove the prefix Gangster from his name. Bishnoi's brother features in the list of 12 wanted terrorists released by National Investigation Agency of the Indian Government.
