Owing to the deteriorating scene of flora health, IRS officer Rohit Mehra has launched Punjab's first 'Tree ambulance' service, involving a specialist team of 8 botanists and 5 scientists for the free treatment of trees.
The ambulance named 'Pushpa Tree and Plant hospital and dispensary' will roam around the city wherever the trees require it to. A helpline number is provided to obtain information about trees, call the ambulance for termite treatment or replantation.
