As the situation is under control and everything is running smoothly, once again political and student parties of Panjab University tighten their seat belts as now it seems that PU is all set to have its PUCSC 2022 elections this September.
Parties have already started making an impact on new and old students because making interaction with old students is even as important as with new ones because even third year students would be the vote bank for the first time ever.
However, it is a shock to some old faces who did a lot of hard work for the elections before lockdown and then after a gap of two years their age crossed the line because as per Lyngdoh committee rule, one person who is in post graduation can't stand in the elections if he/she is above 25 years of age. They took admission in various courses to remain students of the campus too. In the meantime, some new faces of 2nd and 3rd year make a good impact on the students and they are also believed to get tickets this time.
But old faces are still demanding from authorities that to stand in elections is their dream and as per COVID scenario they are still demanding to mark this period as zero and give them a chance to contest in the elections.
However there is no official announcement of elections yet.
