With the approaching student body elections many security measures are being taken like bouncers are being deployed at DAV College, Sector 10, to restrict entry of outsiders visiting the campus.
Chandigarh police have also increased their checking to ensure no incident of any mishappening is reported.
The police has set up tent outside college and barricades on road to stop outsiders from entering the permisis. Night patrolling has also increased and bouncers are also instructed not to indulge in brawl with students or outsiders and just inform the police in case of disturbance. On 9th September bouncers were seen allowing only students who present their college identity cards.
Sector 3 PS SHO Sukhdweep Singh added he met with college management regarding security on campus due to which these steps have been added and moreover hostel admissions of students who had pasted posters will also be cancelled.
