College students facing internet connectivity issues on campus since reopening

The students of colleges mostly from Goswami Ganesh Dutta S.D. College Chandigarh and MCM DAV for Women, Sector 36 are facing problems related to internet connectivity on campus since the start of the even semester.

It is being reported to PU Pulse by the students of the college that whenever they try to use their mobile data for accessing the internet it rarely works.

A student on the condition of anonymity said, "I regularly go to the reading hall of the college for studying but whenever I try to access my study material online the internet rarely works due to which half of my time gets wasted in opening the study material online."

"When I move outside the campus my internet connectivity functions properly.", the student further added.

Another student said, "It becomes very difficult to communicate online because the internet does not work on campus. Sometimes I get messages from parents but it becomes very difficult to reply to them due to the net connectivity here."

Some of the students of the college are of the opinion that there may be jammers used on campus. There is no authenticity as such.

Some student organisations like SDCU+SDHU gave memorandum for the same in past but the issue is still not resolved yet and students are facing the same.
