Sector 40 of Chandigarh encounters a chaos after gas leakage in an area adjoining a private school.
Wednesday morning turned out to be shocking for the school students of Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 40 in Chandigarh. Around 1600 students were evacuated and sent home safely. The fixation of the gas pipeline has been started to prevent such incidents in future.
According to the school principal,“The gas leak occurred due to the JCB machine at around 8 am in the morning. After the gas leak, the students were evacuated and were safely sent home. The parents were informed immediately and students departed safely to their home by assigned buses, autos, cabs and some of them were picked by their parents”
