Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high - level meeting to give a final decision on this year’s class 12th CBSE board examinations today. After which the PM officially announced the cancellation of the board 2021 examination.
CBSE has assured that well-defined steps will be taken for the evaluation of Class 12 students through a time-bound objective manner.Students will also be given the option to take the examination as and when the situation becomes conductive.
A plea to cancel the Class 12 board exams has also been filed in SC in view of the COVID19 pandemic across the country. The next hearing regarding cancellation of Class 12 exams is on June 3, 2021.
However , the Education Minister, assured through his tweets that both students' and teachers' safety, security, and future are supremely important to them and no decision will be taken by compromising on these factors amid pandemics.
