According to a report by the Israeli cyber intelligence firm Hudson Rock, a hacker has claimed to have stolen the data of 40 crore Twitter users and has it up for sale on Dark Web.
The ones whose data has been stolen includes well known names like Google CEO Sundar Pichai , Bollywood actor Salman Khan , singer Charlie Puth , and others.
Some samples of the data has also been uploaded by the hacker on one of the sites stating the confirmation that real data like Email,username, follower count , creation date and users phone numbers have been stolen.
Company owned by Elon Musk is currently
facing the biggest data leak till now.API vulnerability is being considered as one of the biggest cause for data leaks. The hacker is extorting money from the company in exchange for the data.
