Today's morning began with a shocking turn for PU and its administration. PU's Vice Chancellor,Raj Kumar submitted his resignation letter Panjab University Vice Chancellor resigned and it has been further accepted by the Chancellor.
Renu Vig has been appointed to discharge the VC by the Hon’ble Chancellor and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar from January 16, 2023 onwards, till further notice.
The VC tenure in the past had seen several turn ins with the Panjab University Teachers Association and he also presided over a rash of student protests.
Earlier the 59-year-old Kumar was a professor at BHU since 2004 and also acted as an expert member in the panels of AICTE, NAAC and other government bodies.
