Bajrang Punia wins 6th medal for India at Tokyo Olympics; equals previous best of London Olympics

Men's freestyle 65kg wrestler Bajrang Punia has won the bronze medal match against Kazakhstan's Daulet Niyazbekov to win 6th medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics.

Bajrang had a comfortable outing today against his Kazakhstani opponent, winning the match with a dominant scoreline of 8-0 in his favour.

India has now equalled its best performance in Olympics that came back in 2012 in London, where India won 2 silver and 4 bronze medals. Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has a great chance of bettering this record by winning a medal, as he is comfortably sitting at the top position in the Javelin throw final, that is currently going on.

Stay tuned for more updates!
