Nexus Elante Mall is again in the news as a cockroach was found in the fried rice ordered from its 3rd floor's food court. The food was ordered from 'Ni Hao' kiosk at the food court of the mall.
This is the 2nd time a complaint was raised after a lizard was found in Chole-Bhature ordered from the food court of Sagar Ratna.
According to Mr. Anil Kumar who called the police, the restaurant employees dismissed the cockroach as a piece of onion causing him to raise a complaint against the mall authorities and the restaurant.
On the other hand, this incident was termed as a conspiracy to spoil the image by the food court's owner, Mr. Ayaan Gupta. He alleged that the complainant was a staff person of the mall and this incident was a move by the management of the mall with whom he had a fight over the rent which also went to the court.
The authorities condemned the incident saying that the hygiene and safety of their customers was of highest importance to them. They further asked the local administration to carry out a rigourous food safety audit in the food court and take the necessary actions.
