A France based play called He Rose will be shown for the first time in Chandigarh.


Being a unique piece of work,He-Rose is a play that brings together stories from two different cultures (Indian and French).The masterpiece is a combined effort of Adishakti Laboratory and ENSATT. It portrays how artists from India and France can work together to create something magnificent and inspiring.The characters of Arjuna from the Bhagavad Gita and Achilles from the Iliad are intricately woven into the tapestry of social message in the play.The play is written by Nimmy Raphel and directed by Vinay Kumar of Adishakti and assisted by Amaud Guennad of ENSATT.


The play talks about war and bravery, using stories of two old heroes, Arjuna and Achilles. It asks if war is really worth it and depicts that bravery is not just about fighting in the field it's far more than that. Through its story, He-Rose makes people think about why wars take place and if they're right. It was premiered in Lyon, France, and now it's coming to Chandigarh, India.


The play's creators want people to think about what really makes someone a hero. It will be shown at Tagore Theatre in Chandigarh on Wednesday, April 17th, at 7:30 pm.
